Sorry it's taken me a while to continue posting... we've been busy but we're finally in a house now out here in California so it's a little easier now. The only cool thing in Nevada was Las Vegas, which we drove right through. We drove through probably the worst part of Utah, and a little bit of Arizona. Even once we were in California it was still desert and ugly. And the temp kept rising... as we drove through the Mojave Desert we hit 109 degrees. No thank you. :) By the time we got to Oceanside the temp had dropped almost 30 degrees. Here are a few more pics from the trip.

North Pole, Colorado
We spent one day of our Colorado trip in the mountains at the North Pole, which was a small amusement park that was totally Christmas themed. It was amazing because almost every ride was age appropriate for Landon, Colby, and Chase... and the weather was again - perfect! On the way to the park we actually got to see a bear walking right through somebody's front yard. It was crazy!

Beautiful Colorado!!!!
We made it to Ashley and Jason's today, and it's so nice being out of the car, and sleeping in a real house! Landon is loving having Colby and Chase to play with. It's so pretty here. I always tell Brendan this is where we're moving once we're done with the Marine Corps. :) We'll post more pics over the next few days, but here are a few for now.

Day #3
Missourri was pretty... and we got to drive through St. Louis and Kansas City, which was pretty cool. (Every city we drive through Landon thinks is New York City) Other than the cities, there wasn't much to look at. :) The drive felt like it took forever today! Much longer than the last two days... but tomorrow's drive will be much shorter so we're all looking forward to that.
Once we got into Kansas there was a whole lotta nothing. We got to see the big windmill things which looked much bigger in real life than they do on tv. And... once we got about 30 miles out from our hotel we heard of Tornado's that had touched down on the road we were on (luckily at the opposite end). Needless to say we were all completely relieved to arrive at the hotel tonight. Enjoy the pics!
