Lan's First Day of School

Landon has started going to preschool 2 days a week. He goes to Centenary Thru-the-Week school, and he loves it. His teachers names are Mrs. Muse, and Mrs. Carpenter, and every day he tells me his favorite part of school is the park. Here are some pics from the first day.

Weekend Trip!

Ben and JP came down to visit for the weekend for Brendan's birthday this month. We had a really good time, it was so nice to get to hang out with them for a little while. Landon loved having two more guys in the house to wrestle with. Now Landon asks Brendan if he wants to "hee-ha", which really means hi-ya, and then he does a karate chop. Pretty much all of our spare time was spent with the boys pretending to be UFC fighters in the living room. We had the chance to go to the beach at Emerald Isle which was really nice. All summer Landon has been terrified of the ocean, and it only took Ben and JP about 10 minutes to get him in the water. They dug out a little pool for him right at the shore, and then he was fine. We should have tried that a while ago. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Yay! I can post again!

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since the last post. I lost the memory card to the camera so I wasn't able to take pictures for a while. Luckily... I found it. It just took me a couple of months. So here are some new pics of the family. Not too much news from North Carolina... Landon is loving the pool this summer. Once he has his floaties on, he's fearless. He jumps right in where the water is over his head, and swims to Brendan, then turns around and swims right back to the wall to do it again. Hours of entertainment! Landon also had his first dentist appointment the other day. He was excellent! The dentist loved him, and his teeth are looking good. He thought all of the tools that she used were pretty neat, and he got to pick out a truck when it was all finished so he was good to go. Brendan starts a new 3 week course tomorrow, to become a martial arts instructor. Hopefully all goes well with that. I'm sure he'll be fine, he does pretty well with everything the Marine Corps throws his way. When I'm not hanging out with Landy, I'm at work at the pottery store. Same old same. So that's our quick update on the fam. I'll try to stay on top of updating this now that I have the memory card again. Thanks for checking out the blog!

Rainy day

I just thought these pictures of Landon in his rainboots were too cute, so I had to share them. We wore them to the grocery store, and stomped in every puddle there and back. Thanks Gramma!

Finally... Our Fence!

At last... our fence is finally up, and it looks amazing. Toby loves being outside without a leash on, Brendan and I love the privacy from the rest of the neighborhood, and Landon loves the fact that he can run around naked. Hahaha. Here are some pics. (oh yeah, and a pic of my new glasses).

My little Artist!

Landon drew these faces the other day, and told my they were frogs. Funny thing is, they actually do resemble frogs. So I asked him to do it again, and he did. Now he draws frogs on everything. He's amazing. lol.

Most contagious laugh ever!

So, in this video Brendan is pretending to attack me, and Landon always tries to save me when he does. Then Landon pushes Brendan off, and thinks it is the funniest thing he's ever seen. I have never heard Landon laugh this hard, so we got out the camera and taped it. Enjoy!

It Actually Snowed Here!

We actually got the chance to go outside and play in the snow the other day. This was the first time Landon has ever played in the snow. He'd seen it once before when we were still living in MD, but he was only about 5 months old. Needless to say we had a blast! Landon loved trying to catch the snowflakes in his mouth, and eventually he figured out he could throw it at me. It really started coming down right as Landon was about to take a nap... so we jumped up and put the snow suit on again and went back outside. We had to take advantage of it, cause who knows when we'll see that again. Of course, my camera died, but I got a few good pics.
