the cutest video in the world!

Landon got a power wheels Batman four wheeler for Christmas from Granddad. We finally got to take it out for a ride this morning, because it had to charge overnight. Landon loves it! He doesn't quite get the whole steering concept, so Brendan and I are helping every two seconds, but he pushes our hands away because he wants to do it himself. We just walked down to the end of our street and back... and Brendan and I were talking, and not really paying attention, and we heard Landon yell "help". We were walking straight, and he had started to go the right down the other street. It was very funny. We took a video, and some pictures. Enjoy!

And I'm still trying to get the video up from Christmas morning... I'm not sure why it's not working.

Lan's favorite sleepshirt

Landon has found a new sleepshirt, and he loves it. It is Brendan's shirt that he has to wear under his Cami's, and it's very, very used. Landon realized he could fit his arm through the top, so he wore it like he was a caveman. Then, he realized he could take it off easily, so it became a game... I would put it on him, and then he would run out to the living room and take it off, and come back to me to put it on again. But I did get some really cute pictures.

Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree!

We got our Christmas tree last night, and Landon had a blast picking it out. We went to Moore's Tree Farm which is just right down the road here in New Bern. It was nice that Brendan was able to come with us this year, because last year he missed out on a lot because he was still working patrol and had crazy shift work hours. Our tree was just over 7 feet tall, and Landon's favorite tree was a little baby tree, and he felt the need to bend down to take a picture with it. And... there were TRACTORS to top everything off. Lan was in Heaven! Once we got it home, Landon hung his very first snowflake ornament, and it touches the ground, so we took a picture.

Cruisin' with Daddy.

Brendan finally put the seat on the back of my bike so I can take Landon riding with me. I'm feeling a ton better, but not quite well enough to pedal Landy around the neighborhood, so Brendan took him out for a ride around the block. Landon had a blast. Every day since he's asked me to take him on the "Bink" again. Landon has a Thomas the Train Helmet that he wears. But the seat came with a helmet too, and it's huge, and Landon found it and wore it around the front yard while he kicked a ball. I thought he looked funny, so I took some pictures. hahaha.

My First Ball!

Out of the hospital just in time for the Marine Corps Ball! We only stayed for a couple of hours because I still wasn't feeling very good. It was nice to get dressed up, and feel human again. Luckily my mom and Meagan came down to help out with Landon, and around the house. It was so nice to have them here. Lan was very sad when they left. So was I. lol. Brendan went back to work today, so it is my first day home alone with Landon. I was really worried that I was gonna be in too much pain to be here alone, but suprisingly I actually feel pretty good today. By far the best I've felt in a while now. The Ball was a lot of fun. The guys all look so handsome in their Blues. The group picture is all of the guys on S.R.T. with Brendan.

Brendan is home!!!!

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been a while since I've posted a blog. But Brendan is finally home, and Halloween is finally over. Landon was a Marine Corps Drill Instructor... and a damn cute one at that! Kenny, Krystal, and Shilah came over to our house to trick-or-treat with us. The kids had a blast, and we have a ridiculous amount of candy left over. I went a little overboard with the candy this year. We didn't have nearly as many kids come around at our new house as we did on base. But we still had fun. After trick-or-treating we drove to the airport here in New Bern to pick up Brendan. We only had to wait about 10 minutes before his plane landed. Once I saw him walking throught the gate, I pointed him out to Landon, and Lan took off running to him. It is so nice to have him home. And miraculously, Toby has been on his best behavior. I wonder why?

message to daddy...

jump.. jump..jump!

So I have finally put together the trampoline that Landon got for his birthday from Meme and Pappy. After about 4 hours, and a couple of bloody fingers it's finished... and Landon loves it! Even when he's not jumping, he stands on it and watches tv. I took a video so everyone can see him in action. Enjoy!

Trains, Trucks, and Planes

One of Landons presents for his birthday from Gramma and Poppy was his new bedding and curtains. I have finally finished painting his room (for now) and hung the curtains, and his bedding came in the mail today. I'm so excited. I've been wanting to do something to his room for a while now, so it's nice to finally get the chance. I still have one more sign to paint by his bed.. I think I'm going to make it a stoplight sign. As soon as I made the bed Lan jumped on it and messed it up... which is why it doesn't look nice and neat here. Landy loves it!
